DeviZones

For developers

Get hired on what you've actually built

No CV. No interviews. No pretending. On DeviZones you earn a verified track record by doing real work for real businesses — and their ratings do the talking.

Free to join. Free to apply.

The problem with every other platform

You need work to get reviews, and reviews to get work. So the top few people take everything, and everyone else bids lower and lower for scraps. Skills are self-declared, so the profiles all look the same — and the client picks on price, because price is the only thing they can actually compare.

We built the way out of that loop into the product itself.

How it works

1

Create your profile

Your skills, what you have built, and how available you are. Two minutes — no CV, no cover letter.

2

Get matched to real work

We match orders to a small group of suitable developers. You see only work that fits, and you are not competing with eighty proposals.

3

Do the work, ask for the rating

Deliver it, then request feedback. The rating is the point — delivered work earns nothing until a client vouches for it.

4

Get paid work

Your client ratings become a public profile you can send to anyone. That record is what gets you picked next time.

About the free tasks

Some orders are marked free intern tasks. They are small, bounded pieces of real work for real businesses, and they pay in a rating rather than money. We are not going to dress that up: you are working for free.

Here is why it is worth it. The first client rating is the hardest thing to get in this industry, and it is worth more than any portfolio — because a business said it, about work you actually did, and it is on a public record you can send to anyone. One small task buys you past the cold start that keeps good developers invisible everywhere else.

And our matching favours you for those tasks specifically because you have no record yet. That is by design, not charity — a marketplace where only established people can get established is a dead one.

Built to stay fair

Four rules, enforced in the code — not in a blog post about our values.

Work is spread out

Matching factors in how recently you were picked, so an identical developer with no recent work ranks above one who just took three jobs. The top few can't absorb everything.

No proposal spam

Each order goes to a small matched group, and only they can apply. You are never one of eighty. Businesses read every application because there are few enough to read.

No race to the bottom

There's no open bidding, so there's nothing to undercut. Businesses pick on evidence of the work you've done, not on who typed the smallest number.

Ratings that can't be faked

Only a business that posted and assigned the work can rate it, and only after delivery. Developer-to-developer ratings count for far less and can never exceed your client record — so rating rings earn nothing.

Questions

Is it free to join? +

Yes. Creating a developer account, building your profile and applying to matched work is free. We do not charge developers to be listed or to apply.

Why would I do a task for free? +

Because the first client rating is the hardest one to get, and it is the thing that unlocks everything else. A free intern task is a small, bounded piece of real work for a real business. You are not donating labour indefinitely — you are buying your way past the cold start that keeps good developers invisible on every other platform.

How does DeviZones decide who sees which work? +

When a business posts an order we match it to a small group of suitable developers, and only they can apply. The match considers the skills on your profile, your availability, and how recently you have been picked — so work spreads out instead of landing on the same few people every time. Free intern tasks deliberately favour developers who are still building a record.

How is my credibility calculated? +

It comes from ratings on work you actually delivered through DeviZones. Ratings from businesses count for far more than ratings from other developers, and peer ratings can never take you beyond what your client record already supports — so a circle of friends rating each other earns nothing. Everyone starts at the same neutral score; the only way up is real work, rated by real clients.

Can I get more work by getting friends to rate me? +

No, and this is deliberate. Peer ratings are weighted far lower than client ratings and are capped against your client record, so a rating ring adds nothing. A single business also cannot inflate you by rating you over and over — each rater has a hard limit on how much they can contribute, no matter how many times they rate you.

Do I need a degree, a certificate or a course? +

No. DeviZones does not teach, does not examine and does not issue certificates — so there is nothing here to buy your way through. The only credential that counts is work you delivered and a business rated. Where you learned it is your business.
